2. Rabbit Adoption

2a. Adoption Process and Approval

All rabbit adoptions from Breadbox Farm are subject to our adoption process, which includes submitting an application and, at our discretion, an interview or home assessment. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. We reserve the right to decline any adoption application for any reason, including but not limited to housing restrictions, inadequate experience, or concerns for the welfare of our animals.

2b. Adoption Fees and Deposits

Adoption fees and any required deposits will be communicated to you during the adoption process. Deposits may be required to hold a rabbit and are generally non-refundable unless Breadbox Farm is unable to fulfill the adoption. All fees are subject to change without notice.

2c. Adoption Agreement

Approved adopters will be required to sign a separate Adoption Agreement prior to taking ownership of a rabbit. The Adoption Agreement contains additional terms regarding care standards, return policy, and the responsibilities of the adopter. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Adoption Agreement, the Adoption Agreement will control with respect to the adoption.

2d. Health Disclaimer

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that rabbits available for adoption are healthy at the time of placement. However, we cannot guarantee that a rabbit is free from all illness, genetic conditions, or parasites. We strongly recommend scheduling a veterinary examination within 72 hours of adoption. Breadbox Farm is not liable for veterinary costs incurred after adoption.

3. Breeding Services

Breadbox Farm's Netherland Dwarf breeding program adheres to the standards set forth by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and the American Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Club (ANDRC). Purchasing a rabbit from our breeding program is subject to the terms of any Purchase Agreement provided at the time of sale. We make no guarantees regarding show eligibility, genetic outcomes of future litters, or fitness for any particular purpose beyond companionship.

4. Events

4a. Event Registration and Payment

Registration for events hosted at Breadbox Farm, including private bunny therapy events and group gatherings, must be completed through our Site or by contacting us directly. Full payment or a deposit may be required to secure your booking. Payment details will be provided at the time of registration.

4b. Cancellations and Refunds — Events

Cancellation policies vary by event type and will be communicated at the time of booking. In general:

  • Cancellations made at least 7 days before the event date may be eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future event

  • Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the event date may forfeit all or part of the deposit or payment

  • Breadbox Farm reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to inclement weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will make every effort to offer a reschedule or full refund

4c. Guest Conduct and Animal Safety

All guests attending events at Breadbox Farm must treat our animals, property, and staff with care and respect. We reserve the right to remove any guest whose behavior poses a risk to the safety of our animals, other guests, or our property. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during events. Breadbox Farm is not responsible for personal injury resulting from failure to follow our event guidelines.

5. Kids' Classes

Our kids' classes are designed for younger children and require a parent or guardian to register on the child's behalf. By registering a child for a class, the registering adult represents that they are the child's parent or legal guardian and agrees to these Terms on behalf of both themselves and the child.

Classes are subject to availability and may have minimum enrollment requirements. We reserve the right to cancel a class that does not meet minimum enrollment, in which case a full refund will be issued. Cancellation and refund terms for individual registrations will be provided at the time of enrollment.

6. Middle and High School Volunteer Program

Our volunteer program is open to individuals between the ages of 11 and 17. Applicants must be consistently available during scheduled volunteer times and willing to participate in physical tasks related to animal care. Participation requires ongoing parental or guardian consent.

Volunteer positions are offered at the sole discretion of Breadbox Farm and may be discontinued at any time. Volunteers are not employees of Breadbox Farm and are not entitled to compensation. By participating in the program, volunteers (and their parents or guardians) agree to follow all safety guidelines provided by Breadbox Farm staff.
